The Project New Hope Inc. Back-to-School Brigade is an annual campaign by Project New Hope Inc. in partnership with Operation Homefront and Dollar Tree Stores that collects and distributes school supplies to eligible dependents of service members. Through this assistance program, military children receive free Backpack filled with back-to-school supplies, to help them start the new school year on the right foot.

Community Legal Aid’s Family Preservation Project provides legal support to families who are involved with the Department of Children and Families (DCF). The goal is to prevent a child’s unnecessary removal from their home and the accompanying trauma that can result.

The After School Center (ASC) at the Quinsigamond Village Community Center currently has limited openings.  Children presently in grades K through 6 experience fun and games at a nominal monthly rate.

Families with young children can access a variety of services through WCAC programs designed to link parents to community resources, to advocate for parent needs and address gaps in services, and to offer quality childcare and educational opportunities for youngsters infants through age 5 through a home-based program (ages 0-3) and center-based Head Start program (ages 3-5).
