FRIENDS OF THE BOYLSTON PUBLIC LIBRARY

Our Mission

The Friends of the Boylston Public Library shall be a voluntary non-profit organization of persons whose purpose it is to help promote, support, and provide for fuller utilization of all material and cultural library resources. We believe that a vibrant community benefits from a free and public library that invites sharing, knowledge, participation, and open access for all.

Please consider becoming a member of the Friends of the Boylston Public Library. We have memberships at many levels. Joining the Friends shows your support for the library, and enables us to fund events and museum passes throughout the entire year.

Meetings:

The Friends of the Boylston Public Library meet the first Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM.

Our organization has three simple goals:

  1. To engage users at the library.

  2. To encourage gifts and Friends' financial support for the benefit of the library.

  3. To serve as the library's link to the community through advocacy, marketing, programming, and access.

What We Do:

  • Raise funds through our Annual Book Sale, membership drives, and donations.

  • Sponsor library programs such as Wicked Wednesdays and Summer Reading.

  • Sponsor a variety of museum & park passes.

  • Bring the community together through events such as the Annual Egg Hunt and special speaker events.

  • Advocate for library funding, raise awareness on the importance of libraries, and spread the word about library happenings.
