Library Renovation Program
The Trustees and its Library Planning Committee are reviewing the condition of the Library building, the services that are offered, and how to improve both. An architectural assessment of the building’s condition is underway, and the existing Library space is being reviewed to optimize its use.
In December, a plan for renovating the building was delivered to the Trustees. The Library Planning Committee is meeting now to implement the first phase of this renovation plan. This will include cleaning up and repairing the outside stonework of the library as well as refurbishing the access ramp. It will also include the installation of a wooden doorway/vestibule that will be ADA compliant and be more in keeping with the historic nature of Boylston center.
