Memorial Day at the Library

Annual Book Sale!  All books will be $1.  While supplies last you may buy a large Friends Canvas Bag ($10) or a small Friends Canvas Bag ($5) and fill it with books!

Pony rides from Noon to 2:00 PM.  Terry Therriault will once again provide ponies and supervision for this fun event!

Volunteers are needed on Saturday May 24 to bring books down from the Library attic to the ground floor.  Volunteers are also needed on Monday May 6 at 7:00 AM to set up the book sale, and at 2:00 PM to clean up.  Sign up sheets are available at the Library, or you may email Wendy Lonstein at wenlon@verizon.net or call 508-869-2410.  We appreciate any time anyone could give us.

WICKED GOOD COOKIES of Boylston will be supplying cookies at our Memorial Day Book Sale.  Stop in, buy a book, and have a cookie!!!

Foundation

The Boylston Public Library Foundation, Inc. will once again have an Annual Appeal Donor Appreciation Board and information booth set up in front of the Library!  We are half way to our $15,000 Annual Appeal goal for the Great Courses materials, Rosetta Stone language system(s) and the activation fee for automation within the CWMars System!

Your financial support of these projects will help create some modern library services in our antique building.  These services are transferable and not directly tied to physical space.  Annual Appeal Donations and all financial donations to the BPLF, Inc are tax deductible.

Please plan on stopping by and making a contribution during the Memorial Day festivities.  For those of you who asked “What can I do to help?” after the Article defeat in March, this is one avenue of assistance that will make a positive impact without increasing our local taxes. 

Your time, energies and skills are also valuable to BPLF, and we are interested in speaking with library supporters with nonprofit accounting, legal or marketing experience for our upcoming nomination slate.
